Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Zero Overhead Labs LLC ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with Zip Player, our website, applications, licensing infrastructure, reseller dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate the Service, manage licenses, prevent fraud, and improve our software.

1. Information We Collect

The information we process depends on how you use the Service. Some information is provided directly by you, some is generated through your use of the Application, and some is collected by third-party service providers.

Device and License Information

When you use the Application or activate a license, we process information necessary to identify the device and manage its licensing status, which may include:

  • The device identifier or MAC address used for activation;
  • License type and expiration date;
  • Activation status and activation history;
  • Information necessary to validate a trial or paid license.

We use device identifiers, including MAC addresses, to associate licenses with devices and prevent repeated use of free trials on the same device.

When we process a verified request to delete personal information, we delete the original MAC address and other personal information that we no longer need to retain, subject to applicable law. To prevent repeated trials and related abuse, we retain a keyed, hashed representation of the MAC address for up to one year following the deletion request, after which the hash is deleted unless a longer retention period is required by law.

The retained hash is used solely for device recognition, trial eligibility checks, and prevention of related abuse. It is not used for marketing purposes.

IPTV Credentials and Configuration

When you configure an IPTV service through our website or licensing interface, we process the information you submit, which may include:

  • Xtream Codes server addresses, usernames, and passwords;
  • M3U playlist URLs;
  • Other supported IPTV connection information.

We store this information on our backend so that the Application can retrieve the configuration associated with your device. This allows the Application to connect to the IPTV service you have selected.

These credentials are used to provide the functionality you request. We do not use them to monitor the television channels, movies, series, or other audiovisual content you watch.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to provide these credentials and use the associated IPTV service.

Because IPTV credentials may permit access to third-party services, you should only submit credentials you are authorized to use. You should not submit credentials belonging to another person without their authorization.

Payment Information

Depending on how you purchase a license, payment information may be handled by Google, a third-party payment provider, or our bank.

Google Play purchases. Purchases made through our companion app on Google Play are processed by Google. Google collects payment information as part of its checkout process. We receive a purchase confirmation token from Google but do not receive your payment card details.

Direct website purchases. Where a third-party payment provider processes the transaction, that provider collects payment information under its own privacy practices. Where Zero Overhead Labs LLC acts as merchant of record, payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider and we do not store full payment card details through our own systems.

Reseller credit purchases. Resellers who pay by bank transfer provide their banking details on the invoice. We receive payment confirmation from our bank and match it to the reseller's account. We do not process card payments for reseller credits.

In all cases, we may receive transaction information necessary to identify purchases, activate licenses, verify payment status, handle refunds, and respond to payment disputes.

Account and Reseller Information

If you register for an account or participate in the reseller program, we process the information you provide through the relevant registration and account interfaces.

This may include account identifiers, reseller account details, credit balances, activation records, and information necessary to operate your account.

Resellers may be required to provide account and billing information to participate in the reseller program. Resellers are responsible for providing required notices and obtaining any required consents from their customers.

Usage Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website and applications are used and to improve their functionality.

Depending on the implementation and configuration, analytics may involve information such as application interactions, pages or screens viewed, session information, general location, and technical identifiers.

Analytics information is used to understand general usage patterns and improve the Service. We do not use it to monitor the audiovisual content you watch through the Application.

Analytics information is not necessarily anonymous. Depending on the information collected and applicable law, it may constitute personal data.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential analytics are loaded only after consent has been obtained through our consent banner. Withdrawing consent stops further collection.

Google processes information in accordance with its applicable privacy terms and policies. More information is available in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

2. How We Use Information

We use information for purposes including:

  • Providing and maintaining the Service;
  • Managing trials, licenses, and device activations;
  • Retrieving IPTV configuration information requested by users;
  • Processing purchases and verifying payment status;
  • Preventing repeated trials, fraud, and unauthorized activation;
  • Managing reseller accounts and credit balances;

  • Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims where necessary.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on one or more of the following, as appropriate:

  • Contract: Processing necessary to provide purchased licenses, operate accounts, and deliver requested services.
  • Legitimate interests: Processing necessary for purposes such as preventing fraud, securing our systems, enforcing licensing restrictions, and improving our software, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations: Processing necessary to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Consent: Processing based on your consent where consent is required by applicable law.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. IPTV Services and Third-Party Content

Zip Player is a media player. We do not provide, host, sell, distribute, or license IPTV subscriptions, television channels, movies, series, or other audiovisual content.

We process IPTV credentials and configuration information only to provide the Application's configuration and connection functionality and for other purposes described in this Policy.

We do not intentionally monitor or record the content you watch. However, third-party IPTV providers may independently collect information about your use of their services under their own privacy practices.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party IPTV providers or other services that you choose to use.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as maintaining sessions, remembering preferences, security, and analytics.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies or similar technologies will be used only after the required consent has been obtained.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings or through any consent-management tools we provide. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

Additional information is provided in our Cookie Policy.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Google. When you make a purchase through our companion app on Google Play, Google processes the transaction and shares purchase confirmation data with us so that we can bind the license to your device.
  • Payment providers. To process direct website transactions, verify payments, handle refunds, and manage payment disputes.
  • Analytics providers. To understand usage patterns and improve the Service.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers. To store and process information and operate the Service (for example, Cloudflare and Hetzner).
  • Technical service providers. To maintain the Application, website, licensing system, and security.
  • Professional advisers and authorities. Where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, or establish or defend legal claims.

We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not authorize service providers to use information entrusted to them for purposes inconsistent with their applicable contractual obligations or the law.

Where required by applicable law, we honor opt-out requests for sharing of personal information as defined under that law. We do not sell personal information for money.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Our retention practices include the following:

  • MAC address hash: Retained for up to one year following a deletion request, then deleted, to prevent repeated trials.
  • License and activation records: Retained for up to seven years, as necessary to manage licenses, verify transactions, prevent fraud, comply with tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.
  • IPTV credentials: Retained while necessary to provide the configuration functionality requested by the user, until overwritten or deleted at the user's request.
  • Payment records: Retained for up to seven years for transaction management, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Analytics information: Retained for up to fourteen months, according to the applicable analytics configuration and retention settings.
  • Google Play purchase records. Retained for as long as necessary to verify license eligibility, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable law.

Where information is no longer necessary, we will delete it or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable law. Certain records may need to be retained to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or establish or defend legal claims.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and safeguards designed to limit access to information to what is necessary for operating and maintaining the Service.

IPTV credentials stored by our systems are encrypted at rest and are decrypted when necessary to provide the Application's functionality. Access to these credentials is restricted to what is necessary to operate the Service.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

You should protect your IPTV credentials and avoid sharing them with persons who are not authorized to use them.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of information;
  • Request restriction of certain processing;
  • Object to certain processing;
  • Request data portability where applicable;
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
  • Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions. For example, we may need to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or establish or defend legal claims.

Requests may be submitted using the contact details provided below. We may need to verify your identity or your authority to make a request before responding. We will respond within one month of receiving a verifiable request, subject to any extensions permitted by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children below the minimum age at which they may independently use the Service under applicable law, and in no case below 13 years of age. Where local law requires a higher minimum age, that higher age applies.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below this age. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe that a child has provided personal information unlawfully, please contact us.

11. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal data, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, as required by that law.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with third-party services, including payment providers, analytics providers, and IPTV providers selected by users.

Those services may process information under their own privacy policies and contractual arrangements. We encourage you to review the applicable privacy information before using third-party services.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services, or legal obligations.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
